By downloading, installing, or using the Compass mobile application (“App,” “Compass,” originally branded “Urban Refuge”) you agree to be bound by these Terms (“Terms”). These Terms form a legally binding agreement between you and Cankat Saraç.
Compass is an informational directory of community services. It is not:
Service information may be incomplete, out of date, or inaccurate. We do not control whether a listed organization will provide service to you. We are not responsible for the conduct of any listed organization or its staff.
Compass displays a directory of community services (shelter, food assistance, healthcare, legal aid, and similar) sourced from public and partner directories. Search by location, category, or voice query.
Compass is available to all users without age restriction. Users who are minors should, where possible, seek assistance from a trusted adult; nothing in these Terms creates a duty of care from Compass to any user.
The App does not require an account. You are not asked to confirm or deny vulnerable status, citizenship, immigration status, or any demographic attribute.

The App is the intellectual property of Cankat Saraç. The service directory is curated and may incorporate publicly listed organization data; we make no claim of ownership over the underlying service-provider information. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App on your personal device for personal, non-commercial purposes.
A listing in Compass is not an endorsement. We do not control the policies, practices, eligibility criteria, hours, capacity, or treatment of any listed organization. You agree that any interaction you have with a listed organization is at your own risk and outside our responsibility.
The App is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that any listing is accurate, current, or that any listed organization will provide service. We do not warrant that the App, the Supabase backend, or any feature will be uninterrupted or error-free.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL CANKAT SARAÇ, HIS AFFILIATES, OR SERVICE PROVIDERS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, GOODWILL, OR FOR ANY HARM SUFFERED FROM A LISTED ORGANIZATION OR FROM ACTING ON DIRECTORY INFORMATION.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED USD $10, OR THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.
Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited (including for death or personal injury caused by gross negligence, fraud, or otherwise where applicable law does not allow such limitation).
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Cankat Saraç and his affiliates from any claims arising out of your use of the App in violation of these Terms or applicable law.
The App integrates with Supabase (read-only directory backend) and the Apple App Store / Google Play Store. Each is governed by its own terms.
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the App at any time. Material changes are communicated via in-app notice. You may terminate by uninstalling.
Laws of the Republic of Türkiye.

Binding individual arbitration under ISTAC, Istanbul, Türkiye, in English. You waive class actions. Where applicable consumer or vulnerable-user protection law disallows arbitration or the class waiver, that part is severed and the remainder continues.
Proceedings may be brought in your country of residence.
Proceedings may be brought in the courts of England and Wales, Scotland, or Northern Ireland as applicable.
Entire agreement. These Terms + Privacy Policy. Severability. Unenforceable parts severed. Waiver. Failure to enforce is not waiver. Assignment. You may not; we may to a successor.
If obtained via Apple App Store: these Terms are between you and Cankat Saraç only, not Apple; Apple is not responsible; no maintenance/support obligation; on warranty failure Apple may refund the purchase price (if any); we (not Apple) handle product-liability, conformity, and consumer-protection claims; we (not Apple) handle third-party IP claims; you represent you are not in a US-embargoed country and not on any US prohibited-parties list; Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries.
