Introduction

Glow — Kindness Map is a mobile application that helps you record and reflect on small acts of kindness, optionally tied to a place on the map.

1. WHAT WE COLLECT

1.1 Stored locally on your device

Acts of kindness you record (text, optional photo, optional location tag, optional timestamp).
Map preferences and onboarding state.
Notification opt-in flag (if applicable).

1.2 Optional location

If you grant location permission, Glow may read your device coordinates to tag a kindness act with a place. Coordinates are stored on your device with the entry. They are not transmitted to any backend operated by us.

1.3 Optional photo

If you grant photo-library permission, you can attach a photo to a kindness entry. The photo file is stored on your device. It is not transmitted to any backend operated by us.

1.4 Information we do NOT collect

No account, no login.
No name, email, phone number, contacts.
No microphone or camera (we use the photo library picker only).
No advertising SDKs or identifiers.
No third-party analytics SDKs.
We do not operate a backend that holds user data.
We do not sell, rent, or trade data.

2. THIRD PARTIES

Apple App Store / Google Play Store — distribution. Platform store policies apply.
No other third parties. The current version does not call Rork, OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, Firebase, Supabase, or any analytics service, despite some related SDKs appearing in dependencies.

4. CHILDREN’S PRIVACY

Glow is suitable for general audiences but not directed at children under 13 (or 16 in the EEA). We do not knowingly collect data from anyone.

5. YOUR RIGHTS

Access: all data is on your device.
Delete: uninstall the app, or use in-app delete.
Withdraw consent for location/photos: revoke permissions in OS settings.
EEA / UK: lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
California (CCPA / CPRA): know, delete, correct, opt-out of sale/sharing (we do not), limit sensitive PI use, non-discrimination.

6. RETENTION

All entries and preferences are kept on-device until you uninstall or delete them in-app.

7. CHANGES

Material changes are communicated via in-app notice on the next launch.
