MATHSTORY — PRIVACY POLICY

Introduction
MathStory is a mobile application that teaches math through interactive stories set in a fictional kingdom. The app is designed to be welcoming to learners of varied ages, including younger users.

1. AGE NOTICE — IMPORTANT
MathStory may appeal to children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA without verifiable parental or guardian consent), in line with the US Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and Article 8 GDPR.
To support this commitment:
- MathStory does not require an account or any personal information to play.
- MathStory does not collect names, ages, email addresses, photos, voice, or location.
- MathStory does not show third-party advertising and does not contain in-app links to external commerce or social platforms beyond the platform store.
If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided personal information to us (which we do not collect, but could in theory be entered as free-text), please contact us at cankatsarac@gmail.com and we will assist in removing it. Because all data is stored locally on your child’s device, you can permanently delete it by uninstalling the app.
2. WHAT WE COLLECT
2.1 Stored locally on the device
- Story progress, score, badges, and unlocked content.
- App preferences and onboarding state.
2.2 What we do NOT collect
- No account, no login.
- No name, age, email, phone number, contacts, photos, microphone, camera, or location.
- No advertising SDKs or advertising identifiers (IDFA / GAID).
- No third-party analytics SDKs.
- No backend operated by us.
- We do not sell, rent, or trade data.
3. THIRD PARTIES
- Apple App Store / Google Play Store — distribution. Platform store policies apply.
- No other third parties. The current version does not call Rork, OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, or any analytics service, despite some related SDKs appearing in dependencies. If we add an AI service in a future release, we will update this Privacy Policy and obtain parental consent where required for child users.

5. CHILDREN’S PRIVACY (COPPA / GDPR Article 8)
We design MathStory to be safe for children:
- No personal information is required to use the app.
- No third-party data sharing.
- No behavioral advertising.
- No in-app purchases that target children with persuasive design.

6. YOUR RIGHTS
- Access: all data is on the device and visible in the app.
- Delete: uninstall the app, or use in-app reset.
- EEA / UK: lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
- California (CCPA / CPRA): know, delete, correct, opt-out of sale/sharing (we do not), limit sensitive PI use, non-discrimination.
7. RETENTION
Local progress and preferences are kept on the device until uninstall or in-app reset.
8. CHANGES
Material changes are communicated via in-app notice on the next launch.
