By downloading, installing, or using the Meridian mobile application (“App”) you agree to be bound by these Terms (“Terms”). These Terms form a legally binding agreement between you and Cankat Saraç.
Meridian calculates the exact moment of solar noon at your location and supports a daily reflection practice anchored to that moment. The App offers an optional cloud-sync feature backed by Google Firebase for users who sign in.
You must be at least 13 years old to use Meridian, or 16 in the European Economic Area unless you have verifiable parental or guardian consent. To create a Firebase Authentication account (cloud sync), you must meet the age of digital consent in your country.
If you sign in, you are responsible for the security of your sign-in credentials with your chosen provider (Apple, Google, etc.). You may delete your account at any time, which removes your cloud data per the Privacy Policy.
Meridian computes solar noon using your device coordinates and a standard astronomical algorithm. The calculation is best-effort. We do not warrant that the displayed moment is exact to the second, particularly when your device clock, time zone, or location is inaccurate. Do not rely on Meridian for navigation, scientific measurement, surveying, religious obligation, or any other purpose that requires astronomically precise timing.
If a Meridian Plus subscription is offered in your release: it is billed through Apple App Store or Google Play, auto-renews unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and is cancelled via your platform store. We do not process refunds; Apple / Google handle them per their policies. The 14-day EU / UK right of withdrawal for digital content is presented and captured by the platform store at checkout per EU Directive 2011/83/EU (as amended) and the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.
The App, including code, design, copy, brand, and software, is the intellectual property of Cankat Saraç. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App on your personal device for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, or use the App or its outputs to build a competing product.
You retain ownership of the reflections you write. The App stores them on your device (and, if you sign in, in your Firestore subtree). We do not access your reflections.
You agree not to use Meridian to violate any law, attempt to access Firestore subtrees you do not own, probe or scan our Firebase project, or send abusive volumes of requests.
The App is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that solar-noon timing, cloud sync, or any feature is uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for any specific purpose.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL CANKAT SARAÇ, HIS AFFILIATES, OR SERVICE PROVIDERS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, GOODWILL, OR FOR ANY LOSS RESULTING FROM RELIANCE ON THE TIMING THE APP DISPLAYS. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED USD $10, OR THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, WHICHEVER IS GREATER. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Cankat Saraç and his affiliates from any claims arising out of your use of the App in violation of these Terms or applicable law.
The App integrates with Google Firebase, Apple Sign In, Google Sign In, and the Apple App Store / Google Play Store. Each is governed by its own terms.
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the App at any time. We may revise these Terms; material changes are communicated via in-app notice. You may terminate by uninstalling and / or deleting your account.
Laws of the Republic of Türkiye.

Binding individual arbitration under ISTAC, Istanbul, Türkiye, in English. You waive class actions.
Proceedings may be brought in your country of residence.
Proceedings may be brought in the courts of England and Wales, Scotland, or Northern Ireland as applicable.
Entire agreement. These Terms + Privacy Policy. Severability. Unenforceable parts severed. Waiver. Failure to enforce is not waiver. Assignment. You may not; we may to a successor.
If obtained via Apple App Store: these Terms are between you and Cankat Saraç only, not Apple; Apple is not responsible; no maintenance/support obligation; on warranty failure Apple may refund the purchase price (if any); we (not Apple) handle product-liability and IP claims; you represent you are not in a US-embargoed country and not on any US prohibited-parties list; Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries.
