By downloading, installing, or using the SkinWatch mobile application (“App”) you agree to be bound by these Terms (“Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use the App. These Terms form a legally binding agreement between you and Cankat Saraç.
READ THIS SECTION CAREFULLY BEFORE USING SKINWATCH.
SkinWatch is not a medical device, clinical diagnostic tool, or telemedicine service. It has not been reviewed, cleared, or approved by any medical regulatory authority, including but not limited to:
The output the App produces — ABCDE scores, a risk category, a confidence value, a headline, and recommendations — is a screening signal designed to help you decide whether to consult a dermatologist. It is not a diagnosis, prognosis, or determination of malignancy. The model can be wrong in either direction:
A single smartphone photograph cannot establish Evolution (change over time) or reliable Diameter (without a scale reference). The App’s confidence values reflect these limitations. Even a “low risk” output does not rule out melanoma or other skin cancer.
If you have any concern about a skin lesion — change in size, shape, color, bleeding, itching, or new lesion — see a qualified dermatologist or physician promptly, regardless of the SkinWatch output. The App is intended to lower the barrier to seeking professional care, not to replace it.
Use of the App does not create a clinician-patient relationship, a doctor-patient relationship, a telemedicine relationship, or any duty of care between you and Cankat Saraç or any service provider.
The App is not intended for use directly by minors. If a minor’s lesion is being screened, only a parent or legal guardian should submit the image and interpret the output.
By continuing to use SkinWatch, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this disclaimer.
SkinWatch lets you photograph a skin lesion, optionally tag the body area and notes, and receive an AI-generated ABCDE screening output with a risk category and recommendations. Scans are stored locally on your device.
You must be at least 18 years old to use SkinWatch independently. Minors may use the App only under the active supervision of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to these Terms on the minor’s behalf.
You retain ownership of the photographs you submit and the notes you write. To operate the screening flow, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to transmit the lesion photograph and optional notes to the Rork Toolkit AI relay solely to produce the screening output. This license terminates as soon as the inference call completes.
We do not direct our service providers to use your photographs or notes to train their models. Where the provider’s published API terms confirm a “not used for training” position, that position governs.
By accepting the camera or photo-library permission and proceeding through a scan, you explicitly consent to the processing of health-related personal data (the skin photograph and any associated notes), as described in the Privacy Policy. You may withdraw consent at any time by deleting the scan, revoking permissions, or uninstalling the app.
Both are optional; without them you cannot submit a scan.
SkinWatch is offered free of charge in this version. We reserve the right to introduce paid plans in future releases, with advance notice.
The App, including its code, design, screening prompts, ABCDE rubric implementation, copy, brand, and software, is the intellectual property of Cankat Saraç. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App on your personal device for personal, non-commercial purposes.
You may not reverse-engineer the App, extract the screening prompts, or use the App or its outputs to build a competing product, including by training another AI model on SkinWatch outputs.
You agree not to use SkinWatch to:
The App is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant the accuracy, sensitivity, specificity, or calibration of the screening output. We do not warrant that any specific lesion will be correctly classified. We do not warrant that the App is fit for any clinical, telemedicine, or insurance purpose.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL CANKAT SARAÇ, HIS AFFILIATES, LICENSORS, OR SERVICE PROVIDERS BE LIABLE FOR ANY:
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED USD $10, OR THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.
Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited (including for death or personal injury caused by gross negligence, fraud, or otherwise where applicable law does not allow such limitation).
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Cankat Saraç and his affiliates from any claims, damages, costs, and expenses arising out of your use of the App in violation of these Terms or applicable law, including any claim arising from your reliance on or non-reliance on a screening output.
The App integrates with the Rork Toolkit (relaying to upstream multimodal AI models) and the Apple App Store / Google Play Store. Each is governed by its own terms.
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the App at any time. Material changes are communicated via in-app notice. You may terminate by uninstalling.
Laws of the Republic of Türkiye.

Binding individual arbitration under ISTAC, Istanbul, Türkiye, in English. You waive class actions. Where applicable consumer or medical-product law makes the arbitration or class waiver unenforceable, that part is severed and the remainder continues.
Proceedings may be brought in your country of residence.
Proceedings may be brought in the courts of England and Wales, Scotland, or Northern Ireland as applicable.
Entire agreement. These Terms + Privacy Policy. Severability. Unenforceable parts severed. Waiver. Failure to enforce is not waiver. Assignment. You may not; we may to a successor.
If obtained via Apple App Store: these Terms are between you and Cankat Saraç only, not Apple; Apple is not responsible; no maintenance/support obligation; on warranty failure Apple may refund the purchase price (if any); we (not Apple) handle product-liability, conformity, and consumer-protection claims (including those grounded in medical-device or biometric law); we (not Apple) handle third-party IP claims; you represent you are not in a US-embargoed country and not on any US prohibited-parties list; Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries.
