By downloading, installing, or using the Waypoint mobile application (“App”) you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use the App. These Terms form a legally binding agreement between you and Cankat Saraç (“we,” “us,” “our”).
Waypoint surfaces summaries of publicly reported supply-chain incidents (port closures, geopolitical events, weather disruptions, shortages, cyber events, labor disputes). The alerts are produced by automated classification of public sources.
Waypoint is an information product. It is not:
Alerts may be incomplete, late, inaccurate, or mis-classified. Confidence scores reflect the classifier’s self-reported certainty, not a guarantee of accuracy. Do not rely on Waypoint as the sole source of information for any operational, financial, contractual, regulatory, or safety decision. Verify any material alert against primary sources before acting.
Waypoint delivers a feed of classified supply-chain risk alerts, optional email digests, and push notifications. You can filter by region, category, and severity; bookmark alerts; and dismiss alerts you have reviewed.
You must be at least 18 years old to use Waypoint, or such other minimum age as required for B2B / professional services in your jurisdiction. You represent that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.
By entering your email address in onboarding, you authorize us to send you alert digests and service notifications. You may unsubscribe at any time via the link in any email or by contacting us.

Nothing in Waypoint creates a professional, fiduciary, advisory, or consulting relationship between us and you or your employer.
The App, the alert feed, classification logic, prompts, copy, brand, and software are the intellectual property of Cankat Saraç, protected by copyright, trademark, and applicable IP law.
Alert summaries may reference or quote publicly reported sources. Source attribution links are provided where available. We claim no ownership of underlying source content; rights remain with the original publishers.
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for your personal or internal-business informational purposes only, subject to these Terms.
Waypoint is offered free of charge in this version. We reserve the right to introduce paid plans in future releases, with advance notice and an opportunity to opt in.
The App is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that:
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions; in those jurisdictions our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL CANKAT SARAÇ, HIS AFFILIATES, LICENSORS, OR SERVICE PROVIDERS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, GOODWILL, OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR RELIANCE ON THE APP OR ITS ALERTS, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM SHALL NOT EXCEED USD $10 OR THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.
Nothing in this Section limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited (including for gross negligence, willful misconduct, or fraud, or for death or personal injury where applicable).
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Cankat Saraç, his affiliates, and their respective directors, officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses arising out of:
The App integrates with Apple App Store, Google Play, Apple Push Notification Service / Firebase Cloud Messaging, and the Rork Toolkit (for classification). Each is governed by its own terms. We are not responsible for those services.
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the App at any time. We may revise these Terms; material changes are communicated via in-app notice on the next launch. Continued use after the effective date of revised Terms constitutes acceptance.
We may terminate or suspend your access for material breach. You may terminate by uninstalling the App.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles.
You agree to contact us at cankatsarac@gmail.com and attempt informal resolution for at least 30 days before bringing any formal claim.
Disputes not resolved informally shall be submitted to binding individual arbitration under the Rules of the Istanbul Arbitration Centre (ISTAC), seated in Istanbul, Türkiye, in English. You waive any right to participate in class actions or class arbitration. If the class waiver is held unenforceable in your jurisdiction for a particular dispute, the remainder of this Section 13 remains in effect.
You may bring proceedings in the courts of your country of residence and benefit from mandatory consumer protections.
You may bring proceedings in the courts of England and Wales, Scotland, or Northern Ireland as applicable.
Entire agreement. These Terms and the Privacy Policy constitute the entire agreement. Severability. Unenforceable provisions are severed; the remainder continues. Waiver. Failure to enforce is not waiver. Assignment. You may not assign. We may assign to a successor on merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
If you obtained the App via the Apple App Store: these Terms are between you and Cankat Saraç only, not Apple; Apple is not responsible for the App or its content; Apple has no maintenance/support obligation; on warranty failure Apple may refund the purchase price (if any) but has no other warranty obligation; we (not Apple) handle claims relating to the App, including product-liability, conformity, and consumer-protection claims; we (not Apple) handle third-party IP-infringement claims; you represent that you are not located in a US-embargoed country and not on any US-government prohibited/restricted-parties list; Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms.
